Terms and conditions for language courses
The Alliance Française reserves the right to reject applications for student enrollment.
Fees are payable in advance by bank transfer (proof of payment must be provided before the beginning of the course).
When you enroll for classes at the Alliance Française of Port Elizabeth, you agree to pay the full amount of your tuition fees.
NO REFUND WILL BE GRANTED ONCE REGISTRATION HAS BEEN MADE FOR PARTIAL, DISCONTINUED,
INTERRUPTED OR NON-ATTENDANCE OF A COURSE.
Class cancellations can only be accepted in exceptional cases (extreme illness, transfer…). A written request must be sent to the Director of the Alliance explaining the reason for the cancellation.
An amount of R1 000 will be retained as administration fees. Class cancellations are effective the day the student officially cancels, not on the date he stopped attending classes.
In the case of a class postponement accepted by the Director of the Alliance Française, the equivalent time of the postponed lesson will be added to the following lessons in the same term. Classes will be forfeited if not rescheduled before the end of the following term.
Even if an employer/third party intends to pay tuition, you are still responsible for the payment of your account if no payment is made before the due date.
Payment can be made ONLY by credit / debit card, or EFT. Please NO CASH.
When making your payment via EFT (and if you didn’t succeed to add it in this form), please USE YOUR NAME AND SURNAME AS A REFERENCE AND PLEASE SEND THE PROOF OF PAYMENT TO: contact@afportelizabeth.com
THE ALLIANCE FRANCAISE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL A CLASS IF THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH STUDENTS. THE STUDENTS WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER CLASS OR THEY WILL BE GIVEN A CREDIT FOR ANOTHER SESSION.
In the event that a teacher is sick, absent or incapacitated, the classes will either be postponed or a replacement teacher will be found.
As a student of the Alliance Française of Port Elizabeth, you are entitled to Membership to the online library and reading room for the remainder of your contract. The membership gives access to the library (Books, Magazines, and DVDs), and cultural events with discount. As a member, you will automatically be added to the mailing list, and be informed of all the events at the Alliance Française. As a member you will have an access to the library and the digital library, Culturethèque (www.culturetheque.com).

Even if an employer/third party intends to pay tuition, you are still responsible for the payment of your accountif no payment is made before the due date.
Payment can be made ONLY by credit / debit card, or EFT. NOCASH ACCEPTED.
