The Alliance Française of Port Elizabeth is a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for you, your colleagues, and your children to learn French.

Our teachers, qualified and experienced, practice an interactive pedagogy and offer a wide range of courses: general French; professional French; preparation for exams and certifications; conversation; literature. In addition to learning French, our Alliance provides teachers specialized in teaching Xhosa and English.

All our lessons are personalized by levels and learning projects. In addition, we have equipped classrooms, a media library and unlimited access to Culturethèque (digital resource platform in French). We also offer the possibility of taking courses remotely and all our learners have access to our TEAMS (digital platform). Thanks to this access, you will find complementary activities to your course, documents made available to you as well as the possibility of interacting with your teacher and your classmates.

Exhibition openings, concerts, cooking classes, open forum etc. Many cultural events and workshops punctuate the life of the Alliance Française de Port Elizabeth. Our events allow us to develop linguistic and cultural exchanges and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge between South Africa and France.
